Sebago Wohelo Crafts

Crafts are a big part of the Sebago Wohelo curriculum and we are proud of our staff and facilities.   Anne Hutchinson -  a 4th generation Gulick family member - has taken over Silversmithing and overseeing the craft hill.  We are lucky to have her.

All crafts are free choice and generally open all day.

Crafts at Sebago Wohelo uphold the high level of quality we see in every activity at camp.  Staff help campers (and counselors) in designing an appropriate piece as well as in the creation of that piece.   We aim to have every completed piece be something the camper will be proud of.

Paddle Painting

Painting is referred to as Paddle Painting as many campers will paint the paddles they earn for their Water Bug award.  In fact we paint on all kinds of wood.

Beautiful, Challenging and Rewarding

Pottery

Slab, Coil and Wheel work as well as many new ideas brought by Pottery Staff each year.

Weaving

Weaving includes our 8 floor looms that campers will sign up for a stint on.  Also the inkle/belt looms are very popular as you can bring them to your cabin or to wherever you would like.

Basketry

Baskets have been part of Nature Crafts for many years but we are lucky to have Diane here with us year round who is a professional basket weaver.  Look for even more excitement in basketry this summer!
