Actually found myself in a group picture either ‘43 or ‘44. What memories of 3 wonderful summers during war years. I still wonder how you were able to deal with all the ration coupons. We certainly never felt deprived. I do remember not having developed a taste for lobster yet and having spam, I think on the canoe trip.
Thanks so much for doing this, it’s great fun to look at all of these. I found my mother in the 1941 Little Wohelo yearbook, and my children playing rockball in the 2007 family camp album! Great format!
My daughter, Laura Hines, Camper 1990-1994, Counselor at Little Camp 1997, sent me the link to these wonderful photos. What fun to see them and think of summers at Wohelo
I enjoyed this very much. I know now why 42 years I have been involed with Camp Fire I have had the great opportunity to witness thousands of Baby Janets. They have made my life so special. Wohelo Cheers
How thrilled I am to see a picture with my dear out of touch friend Lynne Hostetter and to see Boo’s name in the comments! What a joy it is to find these pictures tonight.
We are in South Casco getting ready for the 2009 season, and saw pictures of my Grandma from 1920, and maybe 1923, and my Mom, Ann Evans from 1949, and me and my sister (Val) from the 1970’s, and my kids from 2008. This is fantastic! Thank you for all the volunteer hours to make this happen.
Camped three years at Timanous, and while I am holding my sleeping, 2 months old daughter in my arms, I thought of the pleasure she will have in the years to come. Thought I looked Timanous and Wohelo up and to my surprise found this beautiful page with lots of memories, congratulations! Too bad Timanous does not have the history displayed on their page.
I am from Estonia and I was a camper in 1998 in Little Wohelo. Tomorrow I am getting 22 years old and I still can remember how good time I had in Wohelo. I learned my English with you. Thank you!
Although I was only there two years as a camper and a TG, those years had a big impact on me and my family. Cousins, nephews and nieces plus my daughter and son have been since and the experiences have helped form their lives. I am thankful that they could enjoy that life. My sister,Joan, although not a camper, also had an interest in the camps as a sitter at both little and Segago Wohelo. Its wonderful to see all the pictures. Faith McMillan and I are still close friends out here in Denver and Colorado.
What a pleasure! This is my first discovery of myself archived ANYwhere! (teaching developmental reading at Wohelo in the summer of 1960)
Now to check 1961 for more.
Career Note: I went on to create Willow Hill Preschool in Chapel Hill, NC, which is great fun, very international, with lots of outdoors, and current openings for girls. Come see. (Wear washable clothes.)
How fantastic it is to look back at photos – although I managed to escape most of them… Loved seeing the dancers in action – brought it all back. What a great summer x
I love all the albums, especially 1951-1959. I’ve saved photos of myself, and my dear sister Sue Romer Ladouceur. What wonderful memories these photos bring back. Thank you so much. I have some of the summer yearbooks, but definitely not all these great photos. LGC and Sebago Wohelo continue to touch our lives, even now that I am 71.

WOW – what more can I say. How can we let others know that these pictures are out there? I have been scrolling through so many years!! Yes, I was there decades ago. (’44 to ‘57, I think) Do you have an email listing for alumni? Must go back and check more years. Thanks.
My compliments on your taking the time to put all of these pictures on line. It is so wonderful to be able to find pictures of my mom from literally over SIXTY years ago. I just doubled my collection of pictures of her when she was that age. Thank you!
This is so fun to scroll through. I was at Wohelo for 5 summers in the 80’s and it was just the best experience.
I have two young girls now and I hope they’ll want to go someday! Thanks for sharing these great old yearbook photos.

It’s amazing that all these pictures are online! Although, I spent my 29th birthday today laughing at how funny I looked 17 years ago! Love It!

My 5 1/2 year old daughter, Cameron, is sitting on my lap as I “thumb” through the pages of the year books. What a fun look back. Well done.

What fun to experience the summer of 1969 again. Canoe Trips, Loons Cabin and the Walk on the Moon Night! You all did a wonderful job with this site.
